Jann Arden is a favorite in our house.  We love her music!

Arden began her music career in the late 1980's in her home town of
Calgary, Alberta. She sang with various long-defunct bands until she was "discovered" singing Olivia Newton-John covers. Jann turned to writing her  own songs, and success came gradually. Having to overcome some rough times in  the early years.

"Time for Mercy"   hit the record stores, producing the  singles "I Would Die For You" and "Will You Remember Me".  For these efforts,  Jann won the Junos for Best New Artist and Best Video  at the 1994 Juno Awards.

Jann's next album was 1994's multiple-platinum  "Living Under June."  Singles from  that album included "Could I Be Your Girl", which was  featured in a Baywatch  episode,  and "Insensitive", which was included in the Christian Slater movie  Bed of Roses.  This album earned  Junos in 1995 for Best Single, Best Songwriter,  and Female Vocalist of  the Year.

Jann always managed her own career, but during the past few years she hired Bruce Allen (Bryan Adams manager) to manage her career & started her career over with a new CD "Free" and a road trip.  She followed up with another new album, a CD/DVD titled "Spotlight".
